One cannot simultaneously be “gay” and “born again”

If you are a practicing homosexual or lesbian, you cannot be a Christian.  It is impossible.  The two are mutually exclusive.  Why we even debate this issue and give it a moment of serious discussion is beyond me, in the same way that giving serious discussion to whether or not “gay marriage” is acceptable is also a head scratcher.

We may as well debate whether serial killers, in the midst of their killing sprees, can also be considered “Christians.”  Some subjects are so nonsensical to debate that they should not come up for serious discussion.  Unfortunately, this is one of those subjects that, for some reason, is being given a platform for honest debate.

You may have heard about Aaron and Melissa Klein, the Christian business owners of a cake shop that refused to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.  Because they stood upon their Christian convictions that “gay” marriage is unnatural, they were forced to close their business and are faced with paying a $150,000 fine.

The article I linked to above tells of a surprising twist to this story, that a man, Matt Stolhandske, who identifies himself as an evangelical Christian, is helping raise money toward this huge fine.   His reasons for doing so are listed in this Washington Post Op-ed.

I have written about the blatant hypocrisy and intolerance of the rainbow crowd, and his opinion piece is another classic piece of evidence for my claims.  It is a source of continual fascination to me how blind the gay community is to their own hypocrisy and intolerance.

For example, Matt’s opening sentence is an enlightening one:

“As a gay man, I should hate Melissa and Aaron Klein.”

Really, Matt?  Where in the Bible that you claim to follow as an “evangelical Christian” does it instruct you to hate those who disagree with you, especially those whom you consider your enemies?  You mention Jesus by name in your article at least four times, but I read the Bible myself and have never read where Jesus tells His followers to hate their enemies.

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you…”  Matthew 5:44 (King James Version)

Matt’s initial sentence is a revealing one because he tells his readers that the de facto position of gay men is that they should hate anyone who shares the opinion of Melissa and Aaron Klein.  Where is the tolerance in this position?  The acceptance?  Are not these two qualities demanded of others by the gay community toward their sexual proclivities?   Since this is true, why would Matt write that “as a gay man, I should hate” these two people?  Is not this the height of hypocrisy and tolerance from the one group who trumpets tolerance, acceptance and fairness from everybody else, but somehow reserves for themselves the right to hate those who disagree with them?

The blindness of this homosexual is extraordinary, but his blindness is part and parcel of the people who make up this particular group.  And here is the important part:  if one can be so blind in this area, is it not reasonable to believe they might also be blind in others?  For example, blind to the fact that you cannot be a practicing homosexual and also be a Christian, as he claims to be?  Blindness begets blindness.

Since Matt appears to enjoy sprinkling the name of Jesus around in his article, I will take the liberty to include another quote from the Savior of the world:

“But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”  Matthew 6:23 ( NIV)

Those unfortunates who believe they can engage in sodomy (the infamous crime against nature) and still think they are Christians are walking in some deep spiritual darkness.  And as this Scripture from Matthew suggests, we can expect those who walk in such darkness to be people who manifest disturbing characteristics.

Let me list one example:  it is well known that homosexuality was once considered a mental disorder.  I won’t delve into the reasons why it was removed from the American Psychiatric Association list of disorders, but it was not due to sound psychiatric science and research.

Homosexuality is indeed a disorder of great magnitude and breadth, for a myriad of reasons.  As a Christian and thinking person, I stand on the self-evident fact that a normal sexual relationship only exists between a man and a woman.  God hardwired men and women to complement each other in innumerable psychological, physiological, and spiritual ways.

When these complementary and normal relationships are cross wired, it is to be expected that problems arise between and among those who engage in any perverted acts.  And let us make no mistake about it:  homosexual and lesbian sexual acts are perverse and unnatural, going against the laws of nature.  To debate this self-evident truth is nonsensical and a waste of time and energy.

I have met scores of homosexuals and lesbians and one glaring fact comes from these interactions:  these are strange people.  And when I write “strange,” I mean it as defined by the dictionary:  different from what is usual, normal or expected.

Romans 1:18-32 is a must read for anyone who wishes to delve into the problems of homosexuality, for contained in these enlightening verses is the reasons why homosexuals and lesbians are weird—even bizarre—people:  because of their choice to engage in shameful acts, they are not only under the wrath of God, but have been given over to the depravity of their sinful and depraved lusts and foolish choices.

Several examples of this bizarre behavior among homosexuals is the act of sodomy and all perverse and unnatural practices associated with it:  rimming, golden showers, fisting, etc.  For people to engage in this type of sickening, unhealthy, and twisted behavior is surely indicative of disturbed minds.

Normal sexual behaviors do not include the above acts, and I have not exhausted the list of other deviant behaviors that homosexuals participate in.  Suffice to say, homosexuality should never have been removed from the list of mental disorders found in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) when it was in 1973.

Jesus came to make broken and damaged sinners whole and complete.  Though this side of heaven none of us will reach perfection, the life-long process of sanctification slowly molds every true believer in Christ into His own image.  Holiness is the birthright of every child of God, and holiness is defined simply as “reflecting the nature of God.”

Homosexuality and lesbianism contradicts and is opposed to the nature of God and is the opposite of the sexual standard He has given to men and women.  There is no holy aspect of perversion, and thus, one cannot be, and never will be, a creature reflecting the nature of God in His holiness and majesty who partakes in homosexual behaviors
